Luis Quezada

Grief Coach with GLADD .  ICF Professional Certified Coach & National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach

Hello, I'm Luis Quezada, Grief Coach with GLADD Community. Grief reminds us that even in the hard moments, we can find strength in vulnerability and courage in the unknown — that's why I'm here. With a decade supporting people through life's toughest moments, my own grief after losing my grandmother taught me the power of community and unconditional love — it showed me what's possible when we face hard things together. In our groups, we explore emotions, find presence, and connect with others in compassion. Welcome to a space for authenticity, support, and a chance to make sense of this moment. Luis is an ICF Professional Certified Coach and National Board Certified-Health & Wellness Coach.

MaryLou Kidd

Grief Coach RN,MSN

Grief has been a deeply personal and guiding focus in my life, shaped in profound ways by the loss of my son, Brook, in 2016. Alongside my lived experience, I bring a strong professional foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Skidmore College and a Master of Science in Community Mental Health Nursing from Columbia University. My work has always centered on supporting others through life’s most tender moments, with a special passion for helping children navigate loss in ways that feel safe, expressive, and understood.

While serving as Director of Bereavement Care at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, ourteam created a children’s grief program that used nature, animals, and simple, hands-on activities to help children connect and make sense of their feelings. One example is a story about “Lucy Lettuce,” who is happily living in her refrigerator world until someone close to her dies. Suddenly, Lucy is pulled out, spun around in the dark, and feels scared, alone, and out of control. Then one day, the lid opens—there is light again—and Lucy finds herself in a bowl surrounded by others. Tommy Tomato has been sliced with grief, Cu Cucumber has been chopped, and croutons are there to support. Through stories like this, children begin to understand that while grief can feel overwhelming, they are not alone—and with support, they can find connection, comfort, and a way forward.
